Saturday. I spent the day reading "A Grief Observed" by C. S. Lewis, which I loved and hated all at once. Loved it because of how real and raw it was. Hated it because of how real and raw it was. Ha. No, but really. It was so intensely honest it was hard to read at times, but good to read.
Also went to the Remedy Drive concert--which was fantastic. While there, I introduced one of my college friends (girl) to a friend that is a senior in high school (boy). She thought he was handsome, it's true....we'll see what happens there. (hehe)
Roomie Date! (Again, I know. We just love each other so much.)
God Bless!

Day 242
Friday! The last day of the first week! Crazy.
Today I gave a ponytail holder to a friend...I'll probably never see it again, such is the way of ponytail holders.
I just saved my roommates head. (Ha. Not actually, but if I had to, I would have.)
My brain just shut off. It's bed time.
God Bless!

Days 240 and 241
Day 240:
First of all, I was able to comfort a friend in the afternoon while she was dealing with some stuff. Sorry about being vague, but it's kind of personal....
It was kind of a busy day.... but our dorm building decorated notebooks to be delivered to freshman halls in David. So I decorated three notebooks and wrote encouraging/wisdom imparting letters for the girls. I even stayed up kind of late to do it.
Day 241:
Today was strange. I took a nap and accidently slept through an interview I had agreed to give. :( I still feel horrible about that.
I may have found a new speaker for the university to have speak to the student body--and that is an exciting prospect.
God Bless!

Day 239
New classes again today. Woo!
I agreed to work only three hours a week--so I gave some other student two paid hours. I hope they cherish their office time in Jesse.
LeAnn and I also had a roomie date, and that was lovely. Nothing says roommate love like some Ben and Jerry's and a movie.
God Bless!

Days 236, 237, and 238
Day 236 (Saturday):
Mom painted the door red--I babysat the process to make sure she was okay. I helped Dad carry more waffle board down to the basement. And I finished my paper for Lisa's class. I went shopping with Mom for school supplies and for homely needs. I went to Jimmy John's when my brother and we watched a movie while we ate at home and Mom and Dad went on a date for their anniversary.
Day 237 (Sunday):
Moving day. I moved in to the dorms. On the ride up, I let Josef sit shotgun in the truck--this never happens and was indeed a big gift. (ha) The rest of the day it kind of a blur...there were lots of hugs, that much is certain.
Day 238 (Monday):
First day of class. It went well--smooth. I popped my head in to see Lisa in the afternoon just to see how she was doing on her first day on campus with students (this year). She was doing well and the decorations in her office were wonderful. The evening was spent sitting with some friends laughing and enjoying ourselves. I missed a roomie date though--and that in inexcusable. :(

Days 232, 233, 234, and 235
I'll be honest, this week is a little fuzzy, and I'm not so sure why...
Day 232 (Tuesday):
Day to Lincoln with the family--and mini daycation, as I like to call it. I bought a bean bag chair for our dorm room with a friend in mind--she likes to visit, and now we'll have a place for her to sit (assuming there is room for said chair.)
Stopped to see Lisa on our way home. That was nice. A pleasure, really.
Day 233 (Wednesday):
This was a bad day. Really. It was the day I got my loans all figured out and tried to figure out my Europe trip payments. This was stress day. This was also the day I got my Etsy account all set up (that was good). Oi.
Day 234 (Thursday):
I helped Dad carry some compression board down to the basement where he has been doing some huge home improvement projects.
I had a meeting with Josh (our church's high school youth pastor). We're putting together a conference, and I'm super excited about it. Basically, I gave to him by taking the project of designing a booklet for the conference off of his plate and onto mine. I'm excited about this project--even if it is going to make for a crazy semester.
Also had a phone date with the beautiful Lisa. I love hearing how my writing has given to her in various ways, and I am incredibly thankful for her insight into the story and the characters. (And the bigger picture.)
Day 235 (Friday/Today):
I went into town with Mom to get stuff to help Dad mount some pictures for the State Fair that were literally due yesterday. I found the adhesive non-tape-tapelike stuff. (I don't know what it was, but yeah.)
I also delivered a bag I made/sold to someone, and that was fun.

Day 231
Yesterday was a day of running errands.
I went to the bookstore with a friend and we picked out Bibles--we're going to be reading through them together. I'm excited for this new chance to delve into the Word.
I also worked on a bag order. Woo!
